Rajasthan Club is entering into the golden jublee year of its existence. The Golden Jublee year of the Club will start from the Dussehra Festival. The first program which has been scheduled in the line of events is DIWALI MELA. To make it a very distinguished one, we are lucky to organise it in the heart of Delhi at Indira Gandhi National Centre of Arts, Janpath near Le Meridian Hotel on 06-07 October 2017. This Diwali Mela will have all new type of Décor, Shopping, Festivities, Food and Music Entertainment
We have been in existence for the last 49 years and it was formed among others by notedLate Sh.T.P.Jhunjhunwala. Our advisory board is represented by Padam Shree awardee Smt.ShielaJhunjhunwala and Shri Surender Sharma. Majority of the members are from very reputed business families. Over a period of time many prominent dignitaries including Honourable President of India, Vice President of India, “Mother Teresa”, Union Cabinet Ministers, Chief Ministers & Bollywood celebrities have attended the ceremonies and delivered their blessings from the dais of Rajasthan Club.
We have started new initiatives and taken steps to increase harmony, cohesiveness and brotherhood among the members and general public. MEHNDI RACHE HAATH program of the Club is also very prestigious and most sought after. The Club has undertaken social awareness campaign of “SAVE THE GIRL CHILD” and have organized number of program towards fulfilment of this project including free Computer education centre for girls at Shakarpur and Shakurpur. MCD has allotted space at Senior Citizen Recreation Centre FU Block Pitampura for setting up of Computer Centre for the benefit of general Public which is also functioning to its full capacity.
Rajasthan Club has undertaken a very noble social project of setting up of Charitable Pathology Lab at Ashok Vihar Phase I, New Delhi involving expenditure of Rs.1.50 crore. It will be inaugurated in the Golden Jublee year of the Club. The surplus of the Diwali Mela will be spent towards this project only.
We started organisation of Diwali Mela49 years back to celebrate the festival of Diwali in Delhi. Over a period of time this program became the most popular and largest visited by more than one lac visitors every year. Rajasthan Club’s Diwali Mela was first organised in the year 1968 and thereafter every year till date. Our Diwali is biggest and most visited Diwali Mela of Delhi NCR and is famous for its traditional décor. This year Rajasthan Club is organising its 49th DiwaliMela on Friday and Saturday, 06-07October in the heart of Delhi at Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, Gate No.-1, near Le Meridian Hotel, Janpath.
